Prairie Wind Ensemble Performs Concert Dec. 9 at Illinois Central College

       The Prairie Wind Ensemble, in residence at Illinois Central College, welcomes guest conductor William Camphouse as the group presents a concert featuring works by Strauss, Mozart, and more.
       Camphouse, who will have two original pieces performed during the event, currently performs with the Sangamon Valley Community Orchestra of Springfield as principal trumpet and has been a clinician and guest conductor throughout the Midwest. In addition, Kevin Moletti will be the featured soloist for the traditional Spanish piece “La Vergen de la Macarena.”
       The concert is Friday, December 9, at 7:30 pm, at the ICC Performing Arts Center, East Peoria. Admission is $8 ($6 for students and seniors). For reservations or information, call the ICC Performing Arts Center Box Office at (309) 694-5136.
