ICC Scholarship Art Auction Ends Thursday, Dec. 8

       Looking for a unique holiday gift for that art-inclined person on your list? The 5th Annual Scholarship Art Auction runs through Thursday, December 8 and all artwork from the exhibit is for sale by silent auction.

       Silent bidding for artwork opened at the beginning of the exhibition on November 16 and conclude at the end of this gallery reception at 7 pm on Thursday, December 8. The exhibition and reception take place in the Performing Arts Center Gallery.

       The 5th Annual Scholarship Art Auction is an invitational exhibition sponsored by the Illinois Central College Art Program. All artwork in the exhibition will be for sale by silent auction throughout the exhibition dates.

       The exhibit features artwork by several artists in a variety of media, including:

  • Cast Replica of a Louis Sullivan Architectural Element #1 (plaster, paint) by Al Rusch, ICC architecture program
  • Cast Replica of a Louis Sullivan Architectural Element #2 (plaster, paint) by Al Rusch, ICC architecture program
  • Cast Replica of a Louis Sullivan Architectural Element #3 (plaster, paint) by Al Rusch, ICC architecture program
  • Poissons de Chant 8: The Fall of Icarus during the rehearsal for the Easter Surprise Pageant (inkjet print) by Tom Lundquist, artist
  • Self Portrait Hall 3 (scanner camera photograph) by Roger Bean, ICC graphic design program
  • Poissons de Chant 77: Big Date – Think of it as perfume, if you’re a clock (inkjet print) by Tom Lundquist, artist
  • Squared (wood, paint) by Jennifer Costa, ICC art program
  • Poissons de Chant 67: Hand of Fate (inkjet print) by Tom Lundquist, artist
  • Bowl (ceramic) by Jacob Grant, ICC art program
  • Poissons de Chant 73: Nobody knows,…but we think she’s just showing off (inkjet print) by Tom Lundquist, artist
  • Happy bubbles by Anita Tuccillo, ICC art program
  • Poissons de Chant 2: Doing Macbeth in the park, Birnam Wood comes to Dusinane (inkjet print) by Tom Lundquist, artist

       Art may not be removed from the exhibition until the close of the silent auction.

       All proceeds will be donated to the Illinois Central College Educational Foundation for use towards art, graphic design and architecture scholarships at Illinois Central College. For more information, call (309) 694-5531.
