Eligible students not seeking the tuition waiver are encouraged to join the Honors Program at any time.

How to Qualify
You may enter the Honors Program if you have a cumulative college GPA of 3.5 or higher after completing nine credit hours of college-level courses. If you have not yet completed nine credit hours, then you must have one of the following: a high school GPA of 3.5 or above, an ACT score of 25 or above, or SAT score of 1200.
Participation Requirements
Honors students should complete at least one Honors item each semester from the following choices:
- Successful completion of an Honors-designated course; or,
- Successful completion of an Honors Course Option (HCO); or,
- Successful completion of an Honors Volunteer Option (HVO)
To remain in good standing with the Honors Program, you must maintain a minimum cumulative college GPA of 3.5.
Graduate Designation
All successfully completed Honors-designated sections and HCOs will be noted on your transcript as Honors courses. To complete the program and receive the designation “Honors Program Graduate” on the transcript, you must successfully complete a minimum of 15 credit hours in Honors-designated sections of classes. HCOs and HVOs may substitute for up to six credit hours.
