Illinois Central College (ICC) may collect information through its website that may become public record and thus subject to disclosure under the Illinois Freedom of Information Act. However, it is the policy of the State of Illinois that any personal information you provide, including but not limited to your name, address, telephone number, driver’s license number, Social Security Number, and email address, will not be sold or rented to any entity or individual or disclosed to unauthorized entities or individuals. The release of personal information is limited, according to Illinois law, to Illinois state government agencies and/or authorized Department contractors or grantees.

Personal Information and Choice

“Personal information” refers to data that can readily identify an individual, such as an individual’s name, address, phone number, driver’s license number, and Social Security Number. It does not include domain names or Internet Protocol addresses. We collect no personal information about you unless you voluntarily provide it by participating in activities such as sending an email, participating in a survey, or registering for a class. Choosing not to participate in these activities will not affect your ability to use other features of the ICC website. State law and the federal Privacy Act of 1974 may protect personal information requested or volunteered. However, once provided, this information may become a public record subject to inspection and copying unless protected by federal or state law.

Opting Out of SMS Messaging

You have the right to opt out of receiving SMS messages from us at any time.
